We organise our projects in stages - this gives us the structure to check that we’re ready to move between stages

  1. Idea: the spark that starts it off, a brief outline of why and what
  2. Initial Validation: First pass against the three tests. Are we confident to move on?
  3. Definition: create research questions, prioritising those which explore MLOps novelty. Define the critical success factors — what are the top 3 specific things that the project needs to achieve to be successful?
  4. Plan: determine the experiments needed to validate and answer the research questions. Evidence with papers, use existing FL process for researching; engage with experts
  5. Implementation: Do > Evaluate > Iterate: Carry out the experiments, regularly checking alignment towards the critical success factors. Make adjustments where needed and validated
